Badab Surt, unique colorful springs in Iran

Badab Surt, known as the colorful springs, is one of the tourist attractions of Sari in Iran’s northern province of Mazandaran.

Badab Surt is formed by a group of travertine springs and pools.

The water of the springs is different in terms of color, smell, taste and volume.

The springs are known for their unique orange color. Their color is attributed to the accumulation of iron oxide-rich sediments.

Badab Surt is inscribed on Iran’s natural heritage list.
